The eight qualified teams were divided into two groups of four teams each. Within the groups, each team plays each other once. The group winners and runners reach the semifinals and play there in the knock-out system "crosswise" to today. The semi-final winners reach the final, the losers play for third place. From the semi-finals onwards, if the score is tied, there is an extra period of fifteen minutes twice and, if there is no winner, a penalty shoot-out .
Preliminary round
The group draw took place on September 21, 2010 in Ekurhuleni .
