The Algerian national football team represents Algeria in international women's football . The national team is subordinate to the Algerian Football Association and is coached by Azzedine Chih. In their first game, the team lost 0:14 against France, the biggest defeat of an African against a European team to date . The Algerian selection has so far participated in the African Championship five times , where they were eliminated after the preliminary round. So far, they have not participated in a world championship or the Olympic Games. The team's greatest success is winning the 2006 Arab Championship.
