The Tanzanian national soccer team represents Tanzania in international women's soccer . The national team belongs to the Tanzania Women Football Association (TWFA), which was founded in 2006, and reports to the Tanzanian Football Association .

The team played their first competitive games in 2002 in the qualifications for the 2002 African Cup and the 2003 World Cup , but failed in both qualifications. Since then, they have tried unsuccessfully in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifications in 2004, 2006 and 2008 as well as in the qualification for the 2007 World Cup and have therefore not yet participated in any international finals.

According to the FIFA world rankings , the team is one of the weakest teams in the world. So far she has only been able to win against Eritrea, Ethiopia and Botswana. In 2010 Tanzania was able to qualify for the women's African Championship for the first time , but was eliminated after the preliminary round.
