The Egyptian women's national football team is the national team of Egypt and is subordinate to the Egyptian Football Association . The Egyptian team first took part in the 1998 African Cup, which also served as qualification for the 1999 World Cup. After they were able to prevail in the first round against Uganda in the first and second leg, only the last place was occupied in the subsequent group stage against Nigeria , the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Morocco . In 2000, Egypt was eliminated in qualifying against Réunion . In 2006 Egypt was eliminated against Algeria in qualifying for the 2006 African Cup and 2007 World Cup. In qualifying for the women's African Cup of Nations in 2012 , the Egyptians were able to win the first leg against Ethiopia 4-2, but lost 4-2 in the second leg, so that qualification was missed.
