The Senegalese national soccer team represents Senegal in international women's soccer . The national team reports to the Senegalese Football Association and is coached by Bassouaré Diaby.

The Senegal team made their first international match in 2002 as part of qualifying for the 2002 African Cup of Nations , but failed to qualify. The qualification failed in the following years as well. It was not until June 16, 2012 that the team was able to qualify for the final round of the African Championship for the first time against Morocco . However, a penalty shoot-out was necessary after two goalless draws. The team then lost the first two group matches against the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Africa by just 1-0, but suffered a 5-0 defeat against hosts Equatorial Guinea and were eliminated from the bottom of the group.

In the FIFA world rankings, the team fluctuated between rank 75 (June 2009) and rank 136 (December 2011).
