2010 African Cup of Nations Women / Qualification
For the qualification of the African Cup of Women 2010 were reported 23 African women's football teams, one more than for the previous African Cup.
The qualification was played in two rounds in a knockout system with a return leg. In the first round, the 18 weaker nations should meet. Since three teams withdrew, there were only six games. The winners and the teams that made it to the second round without a fight determined the seven teams that qualified for the final round together with the host, along with five other national teams.
Preliminary round
The first legs were scheduled for March 6th and 7th, the second leg for March 19, 20 and 21, 2010.

The first legs were scheduled for May 21, 22 and 23, the second legs for June 5 and 6, 2010. In addition to hosts South Africa, the winners qualified for the 2010 African Football Championship for women.
