Venues of the football regional class of Saxony 1951/52 |
The regional soccer class of Saxony in 1951/52 was the third and last staging of the regional soccer class of Saxony . As in the last season, the national class was played in a relay with 14 participants in a round- robin tournament . The victory qualified for the GDR soccer league in 1952/53 . Saxon soccer champions and promoted players in the GDR soccer league 1951/52 . The BSG Empor Wurzen-West dominated this season and secured first place with 13 points ahead of the BSG Vorteil Mitte Zittau .
Since the federal states in the GDR were liquidated in the summer of 1952 and 14 districts took their place , GDR football had to adapt to the new administrative structure with its league system. The national leagues were dissolved and replaced by 14 district leagues . Instead of football Landesklasse Saxony entered the Football League District Dresden , the Football League District Karl-Marx-Stadt and the Football League District Leipzig . The bottom of the table, on the other hand, was relegated directly to the district class. At the beginning of the season, the process of BSG formation was still not completed, so there were again changes of names.
