Günter Franzmeier (* 1966 in Wels ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Günter Franzmeier first played theater in an amateur group and performed as a high school graduate with solo programs. After his entrance exams at drama schools had failed several times, Franzmeier came to Salzburg's Elisabethbühne , where he trained as an actor and where he got his first engagement. Other stages in his stage career were the Schauspielhaus Zürich , the Hamburger Kammerspiele , the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern , the Grillo-Theater in Essen and especially the Volkstheater Wien , where he played from 1995 to 2005 and where he has been a member of the ensemble again since 2007. Well-known plays with Franzmeier's participation were, for example, Lessing's Nathan the Wise , Charley's Aunt by Brandon Thomas , Chekhov's Kirschgarten or the Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare under well-known directors such as David Bösch , Anselm Weber or Maria Happel .

Günter Franzmeier has also worked occasionally in front of the camera since 2000. He had guest roles in series such as Four Women and a Death , Inspector Rex , SOKO Vienna or Paul Kemp - no problem .
