The GFF 4 or MPV (Medium Protected Vehicle) , formerly Grizzly , is an armored wheeled vehicle from the arms company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Iveco Defense Vehicles , which is intended to close the gap between the ATF Dingo and the GTK Boxer . It is part of the Bundeswehr's procurement project for armored command and control vehicles (GFF) in so-called class 4 (highly armored vehicles).
A first vehicle was delivered in November 2007 for testing to the Federal Office for Defense Technology and Procurement , which is now the Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Use by the Federal Armed Forces . The competitor is Rheinmetall Landsysteme with the bison .

General

The vehicle offers space for ten soldiers and can be equipped with various kits, plus a 20-kilowatt generator on board. The grizzly can be transported in the Airbus A400M . The chassis comes from the Iveco Trakker . Versions with 4 × 4, 8 × 8 or amphibious (in cooperation with BAe) are also possible.
