List of wheeled vehicles of the Bundeswehr
This list covers the wheeled vehicles of the Bundeswehr . The list is sorted according to vehicle type and, in the case of trucks, which make up the majority of vehicles, also according to vehicle generations. These result from the procurement period and the procurement projects of the Bundeswehr.
A distinction is also made between military (mil), partially militarized (tmil) and civil, commercially available (hü) vehicles. With the establishment of the BwFuhrparkService , more and more vehicles are used with the equipment “commercially available with special military equipment” (hümS).

Trucks
1st generation trucks
With the exception of a few vehicles taken over by the Federal Border Police and the NATO allies , the Bundeswehr was initially equipped with new, fully off-road vehicles from German production. The Bundeswehr also procured a small number of American military trucks exclusively for special units with American equipment. There are no longer any 1st generation trucks in the Bundeswehr's current fleet.

Protected and armored wheeled vehicles
Armored vehicles have armor protection for the entire system (vehicle, crew, functionality and mobility). They are used as combat vehicles. In the case of protected vehicles, the crew and the mobility of the vehicle are given priority, but the engine, transmission and transmission elements are not, or not to the same extent, secured. Protected vehicles are command, transport and functional vehicles that have to perform defined tasks.
