Gardi Hutter (born March 5, 1953 in Altstätten SG ) is a Swiss actress and author and above all a clown - comedian with her own cabaret programs, mostly away from circus arenas.

Since 1981 Gardi Hutter has toured with her "Clownesken Theater" so far through 35 countries with over 3700 performances. She created nine full-length plays, a circus program, three musicals and received 17 art awards.

Life

Gardi Hutter began her three-year classical acting and theater education training at the Zurich Acting Academy at the age of 21 and worked in both professions for a year. She then spent three years in Italy with Mario Gonzales , Pantalone des Théâtre du Soleil , Nani Colombaioni from I Colombaioni , known for the Fellini film I Clowns and Ferruccio Cainero from the Teatro Ingenuo .

From the 1980s she appeared on cabaret stages in Switzerland and neighboring countries. In addition to German and English, she speaks Italian and French. Since she is not dependent on language mediation with her clown theater, there were live performances and television recordings in thirteen countries, including Eastern Europe, South and North America.

For the national celebration of 700 years Confederation she played in 1991 as Pure Mach-clown in the National Council chamber of the Swiss parliament, the Fool . She was a co-author at the 700 Years Altstätten Festival in her hometown in 1998. In the winter 1997/98 season she took on an actor role in the production of Romulus the Great at the Schauspielhaus Zurich . Gardi Hutter has already appeared on various occasions with her programs at the Arosa Humor Festival , including its 20th edition in 2011.

Hutter is the mother of the singer Neda Cainero and the percussionist Juri Cainero, who are on stage with her in the Gaia Gaudi production . Hutter also writes children's books.

Quote

“If you want to become a clown, you have to create your own character, you have to find something of your own, and that is not possible without major crises. If you're a woman, you still have fundamental doubts as to whether it's even possible. You don't have the models that have already proven that it works. "
