Gardner is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hardee County in the US state of Florida with 463 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Gardner is about 20 km south of Wauchula and about 120 km southeast of Tampa . The CDP is crossed by US Highway 17 ( SR 35 ).

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 463 inhabitants at that time were distributed among 273 households. 85.1% of the population identified themselves as whites , 0.4% as African American and 12.3% as Asian Americans . 1.7% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 0.4% to several ethnic groups. 5.0% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 69.9% of all households lived in 11.1% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 69.9% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.14 people and the average family size was 2.54 people.
