Gaszowice ( German Gaschowitz ) is a village and seat of the municipality of the same name in the Powiat Rybnicki of the Silesian Voivodeship , Poland .

history

Until 1922, the place was part of the Prussian province of Silesia / Upper Silesia and was in the Rybnik district . After the referendum in Upper Silesia , the place fell to Poland in 1922.

Community leader

The head of the municipal administration is the municipality leader . In the regular election in October 2018, Paweł Bugdol was the only candidate who was elected with 88.8% of the vote.

Municipal council

The municipal council consists of 15 members and is directly elected by the population in single-person constituencies. The 2018 municipal council election led to the following result:

  • Election committee of our municipality Gaszowice 58.3% of the vote, 12 seats
  • Election Committee “Development Movement of Municipalities of the Rybnik Region” 33.1% of the votes, 2 seats
  • Silesian Regional Party 5.3% of the vote, 1 seat
  • Election Committee “Witold Czerny for Łuków Śląski” 3.4% of the vote, no seat
