The Gauliga Hessen 1937/38 was the fifth season of the Gauliga Hessen in football. 1. FC Hanau 93 secured the championship with a three-point lead over the team of CSC 03 Kassel , which resulted not least from the missed penalty by CSC center forward Bock in a direct duel shortly before the end of the round (final score 0: 1). Hanau 93 was eliminated in the final round of the German championship after the group games. The relegation ranks were occupied by Germania Fulda and 1. SV Borussia 04 Fulda . In the promotion rounds the SV Kurhessen Kassel and the BSG Dunlop SV Hanau prevailed and rose to the 1938/39 round .
