The Geely GS (also Geely Emgrand GS ) is a crossover - SUV of the Chinese car manufacturer Geely brand Geely .
history
The vehicle was presented at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2016. At the same time, sales of the GS started in China. The crossover is not available in Europe. The Geely GL sedan is based on the GS. Both vehicles were designed by Peter Horbury , the former designer of Volvo . In addition to the normal version, the car is also available as a GS Sport .
On June 9, 2018, the Geely GSe, an electric version of the vehicle, was introduced in China , which looks only slightly different from the GS.
The dimensions of the crossover are similar to those of the BMW X2 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA . However, the purchase price is well below that of the German premium manufacturers. The battery-powered Geometry C is based on the GS.
Technical specifications
Three gasoline engines and one electric motor are available as drive variants. The drive is standard with a 6-speed manual transmission via the front wheels. A 6-speed dual clutch transmission from Getrag is optionally available for both engines .
