The Geely Xingyue is a crossover of a sport utility vehicle and a coupé from the Chinese car manufacturer Geely of the Geely brand .
history
The vehicle was first announced as the Geely FY11 in January 2019 . In February 2019, the manufacturer announced that it would market the car as Geely Xingyue . The model name comes from an asteroid discovered in the asteroid belt . This was discovered in an observatory in Lijiang , China . Xingyue began selling in China on April 15, 2019. The Anyeqishi special model, limited to 2,019 copies, has also been available since then. The first cars were finally delivered in May 2019.
The Xingyue is also said to be built by the Malay brand Proton . With the Proton X70 , the manufacturer already offers a version based on the Geely Boyue SUV . The crossover should not be offered in Europe.
technology
The Xingyue is the first Geely model to be built on the modular CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform . The Volvo XC40 and the vehicles from Lynk & Co already use them. The Polestar 2 , which will be available from 2020, is also based on this platform.
Technical specifications
At the market launch in April 2019, the Xingyue was available with three drive variants. All three have front-wheel drive as standard . The 350T has a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 175 kW (238 hp), which is also used in various Volvo models. It is the only variant available with all-wheel drive at an additional cost . The 300T is the entry-level model. It has a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that is a mild hybrid with a 48-volt electrical system . The 400T is a plug-in hybrid that can be ordered with either an 11.3 kWh or 15.2 kWh lithium-ion battery . Geely gives the electric range as 56 km or 80 km. The plug-in hybrid drive is also used in the Lynk & Co 01 , the Geely Binrui , the Geely Binyue and the Geely GE .
