history
Geländer was first mentioned in a document around 1650 as the horse stud of the Prince-Bishops of Eichstätt . After secularization , it was run as the Royal Bavarian Forest House until 1908 . In the same year Josef and Kreszentia Feierle from Workerszell took over and opened a bar. Over time, this became a forest inn and hotel, which is now in the third generation.
A district of Workerszell until the municipal reform , the place was incorporated into Schernfeld on May 1, 1978.
