The municipality Krzyżanowice (German Kreuzenort ) is a rural municipality in the powiat Raciborski ( Racibórz district) in the Silesian Voivodeship . The seat of the municipality is Krzyżanowice .
geography
The municipality has an area of 69.67 km², 79% of which is agricultural land and 4% is forest. The municipality takes up 12.81% of the area of the district.

In 2002 the community had 11522 inhabitants. In addition to the Polish population, 1531 people (13.3%) gave German nationality (ethnicity) and 1204 people Silesian (10.4%) in the 2002 census. 1353 people (11.74%) spoke German in their private lives. In the 2011 census, with a total population of 11433 people, the percentage of Germans was 16.5% or 1881 people.

The Kędzierzyn-Koźle – Bohumín and the Rybnik – Chałupki railway , which have several stops: Tworków, Krzyżanowice, Roszków, Rudyszwałd and Chałupki, run through the municipality .
