Gennadi Wiktorowitsch Sakowitsch ( Russian Геннадий Викторович Сакович ; born April 13, 1931 in Chita ) is a Russian chemist and university professor .

Life

Sakowitsch studied at the chemistry faculty of the Tomsk University (TGU) with graduation in 1953. This was followed by the three-year aspirantur . In 1956 he became an assistant at the chair for inorganic chemistry at the TGU. In 1958 he became a lecturer at the Tomsk Military Command University .

1959 Sakovich was as head of the laboratory at the Research Institute no. 9 in Bijsk called the 1969, the Altai was -Forschungsinstitut for Chemical Technology. In 1961 he became vice general director there. In 1969 he received his doctorate in chemical sciences . In 1981 he became a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR .

In 1984 Sakovich took over the management of the Altai Research Center as the successor to General Director JF Savchenko . The focus of research and development work was and is on fuels and explosives , so-called high- energy materials . Since 2010, the Altai Institute has been a joint stock company with a much expanded production spectrum within the joint stock company Moskowski Institut Teplotechniki (MIT) (Moscow Institute for Thermal Engineering ), which builds missile systems .

In addition, Sakowitsch was a professor at the TGU. In 1992 he became a Real Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences .

1997 gave up Sakowitsch the general director's office and became honorary director. In 2001 he founded the Institute for Problems of Chemical Energy Technology of the Siberian Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences, of which he became its director. In 2006 he moved to the position of scientific director. He is the author of more than 500 scientific papers, including 4 monographs .

Sakowitsch was also involved in society. He initiated a municipal support program for gifted children as well as the first Lyceum in Biysk and a kindergarten with a swimming pool. In 1985 he organized the first youth housing complex in Siberia.
