Georg Haberkorn

Georg Philipp Friedrich Wilhelm Haberkorn (born November 9, 1772 in Grünberg ; † August 8, 1832 in Salzhausen ) was a Hessian civil servant and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Georg Haberkorn was the son of the forest manager Johann Christoph Haberkorn and his wife Eleonore, née Strecker. Haberkorn, who was a Protestant, remained unmarried.

Haberkorn studied law at the University of Gießen from 1791 and became a court advisor in 1797, government secretary in Darmstadt in 1801 and later a councilor in Arnsberg. There he was a member of the church and school council around 1812. From 1818 he was a member of the government deputation in community matters.

From 1826 to 1830 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of the city of Giessen .
