Georg Karl Leonhard Ludwig August von Stülpnagel (born September 27, 1785 in Pasewalk ; † December 16, 1862 there ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and most recently the commander of the 2nd division.

Georg von Stülpnagel was born as the son of Otto Wilhelm von Stülpnagel (* January 1, 1758 - February 9, 1794) and his wife Auguste Amalie Albertine Charlotte von Eichstedt (* October 2, 1762; † December 21, 1809) from the house Rothen Clempenow . His father was a captain a. D. from Dragoon Regiment No. 5 .

Career

On March 1, 1797 he became a standard junker in the Cuirassier Regiment No. 2 . There he became a cornet on October 11, 1800 and second lieutenant on January 21, 1802. In the Fourth Coalition War he fought in the Battle of Auerstedt and the battles of Weißensee, Nordhausen, Nassentin, Triwitz, Gardebursch and Lychen. When Ratkau surrendered, he was taken prisoner of war, from which he was only released in 1808.

On October 13, 1809 he was aggregated as a second lieutenant in the Brandenburg Cuirassier Regiment and on December 3, 1810 in the Brandenburg Uhlan Regiment (No. 3) .
