Gerardo Bönnhoff
Gerardo Bönnhoff (birth name Gerhard Bönnhoff ; born June 24, 1926 in Berlin ; † December 26, 2013 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine sprinter of German origin.
At the Athletics South American Championships in Rio de Janeiro in 1947 , he won over 100 m and won silver over 200 m . The following year he reached the quarter-finals at the 1948 Olympic Games in London over 100 m and 200 m and was eliminated in the 4 x 100 meter relay in the preliminary run.
In 1951 he was fourth over 200 m at the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires and won bronze with the Argentine 4 x 100 meter relay.
In 1952 he won the South American Championships in Buenos Aires over 200 m and took silver over 100 m. At the Olympic Games in Helsinki he was sixth in the 200 m and reached the semi-finals with the Argentine 4 x 100 meter relay.
At the South American Championships in Santiago in 1956 , he won silver over 100 m and bronze over 200 m.
