Arquímedes Herrera (born August 8, 1935 in Bobures , † May 30, 2013 in Maracaibo ) was a Venezuelan athlete who was in the 1964 Olympic finals with the 4 x 100 meter relay .

Herrera was South American champion in the 100-meter run in 1961 and second in the 200-meter run . In 1962 at the Central American and Caribbean Games Herrera finished third over 100 meters, won over 200 meters silver behind Rafael Romero and won the 4 x 100 meter relay together with Romero. In 1963 Herrera won the South American Championships over 100 meters in 10.2 seconds and over 200 meters in 20.9 seconds. At the Pan American Games in 1963 Herrera won over 100 meters silver behind the Cuban Enrique Figuerola . Over 200 meters, three runners crossed the finish line simultaneously in 21.23 seconds. Herrera received bronze behind Rafael Romero and Ollan Cassell . With the sprint relay, the Venezuelans won silver behind the US relay.

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 Herrera ran over 100 meters and over 200 meters each to the semifinals. With the sprint relay consisting of Arquímedes Herrera, Lloyd Murad , Rafael Romero and Hortensio Fucil , he reached the final and finished 6th in 39.54 seconds.

With a height of 1.78 m, his competition weight was 76 kg.
