Rodrigo Pereira do Nascimento (born September 26, 1994 in Itajaí ) is a Brazilian sprinter .

Athletic career

Rodrigo do Nascimento gained his first experience at international championships in 2013 at the Pan American Junior Championships in Medellín , where he won the bronze medal in the Brazilian 4 x 100 meter relay in 39.96 seconds and the silver medal in 3: 06.94 minutes with the 4 x 400 meter relay. The following year he won the U23 South American Championships in Montevideo in 39.74 s . Two years later he won the U23 South American Championships in Lima in 10.21 seconds in the 100 meter run and in 21.20 seconds over 200 meters and in 3: 13.73 minutes with the 4 times 400 -Meter relay. In 2019, he won the World Relays in Yokohama in 38.05 s with the 4 x 100 meter relay. He then won the South American Championships in Lima in 10.28 s over 100 meters and won the silver medal behind the Colombian Bernardo Baloyes in the 200-meter run in 20.63 s , as well as with the 4 x 100 meter relay in which he had to surrender to the Venezuelan team in 39.91 s. In July he won the bronze medal over 100 meters at the Summer Universiade in Naples in 10.32 seconds behind his compatriot Paulo André de Oliveira and Chederick van Wyk from South Africa. Over 200 meters he was disqualified in the semifinals and finished seventh in the relay in 83.05 s. In August he won the Pan American Games in Lima with the Brazilian relay team in 38.27 s and was fourth over 100 meters in 10.27 s. Over 100 meters he qualified for the World Championships in Doha , where he was eliminated with 10.25 s in the run over 100 meters and reached fourth place with the relay in 37.72 s. He then won the Military World Games with the season in 38.68 s.
