Gerhardt Klann (born August 11, 1976 ) is a former Canadian biathlete .

Gerhardt Klann started for the Edmonton Nordic Ski Club . He made his international debut in 2000 in a relay race in the biathlon world cup . Even before its first shooting, the Canadian relay team was taken out of the race for lapping, as its predecessors Steve Cyr , Jean Paquet and Robin Clegg made 14 mistakes and had to run six penalty loops. This was followed by a job in the singles of the Biathlon European Championships 2000 in Kościelisko , where he was 50th. The next major event was the 2001 Military World Ski Championships in Jericho , where he was 69th in the sprint. A year later he came in 60th place in the cross-country skiing race over 15-kilometer freestyle in Kranjska Gora . Since the 2002/03 season , Klann has been used regularly in the European Biathlon Cup and sporadically in the World Cup. In 2003 he won an individual in Ridnaun as 27th for the first time in the European Cup. It was also his best European Cup result. In 2004 he ran his first individual race in the World Cup in Ruhpolding and came in 101st place in a sprint. The highlight of the season was the 2004 Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof . The Canadian was used in two races. He was 91st in the sprint and 63rd in the individual. The individual became one of Klann's best international races ever. Only once in 2005, when he finished 62nd in a sprint in Pokljuka, was able to get one place better. In Hochfilzen he took part in world championships for the second time . Klann was 79th both in the individual and in the sprint, with Clegg, Paquet and David Leoni Guter 15th in the relay race. In his last season, Klann missed the Olympics , but initially took part in the 2006 European Biathlon Championships in Langdorf . The Canadian was there in all four possible races. He finished 55th in the sprint, 53rd in the pursuit and 33rd in the individual. In the relay race he was 13th with Jaime Robb , Leoni and Tom Zidek . The last highlight was the Biathlon Mixed Relay World Championship 2006 in Pokljuka. With Zina Kocher , Leoni and Sandra Keith he finished 21st.
