The German Darts Masters (World Series) 2017 is a tournament in darts and was first organized by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from October 20th to 21st, 2017 . It was the seventh event of the 2017 World Series of Darts . The venue was the Castello Düsseldorf .

The tournament was won by the Scot Peter Wright , who prevailed in the final with 11: 4- legs against the Englishman Phil Taylor .

format

A total of 16 players took part in the tournament. The field of participants consisted of the six best placed players of the PDC Order of Merit and four wildcard players. In addition, six local players took part, who were able to qualify in advance via the Super League Darts Germany .

The tournament was played in a knockout system . The 1st round took place on October 20th, game mode was a best of 11 legs . The quarter-finals were played in the best of 19 legs mode on October 21 , the semi-finals and the final on the same day in the best of 21 legs mode.

Prize money

The tournament totaled £ 60,000 in prize money. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
