Global Innovation Index
The Global Innovation Index (GII) is a ranking that shows the innovative capacity of individual countries . It is published annually by the French business school INSEAD , Cornell University and the United Nations World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) .

The Global Innovation Index was first published in 2007. The index is published once a year. A total of 129 economies were considered in the 2019 report . The ranking of a country is calculated using existing indicators .

International Innovation Index
In 2009 the Boston Consulting Group and various industry associations published the International Innovation Index , which was intended to determine a country's degree of innovation. The 110-country list was headed by Singapore , followed by South Korea and Switzerland - Austria came 17th and Germany 19th.
