The Gmina Biała is a rural community in the powiat Wieluński of the Łódź Voivodeship in Poland . Their seat is the village Biała Druga ( German Biala ) with about 330 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located in the southwest of the voivodeship. Neighboring municipalities are the municipalities of Lututów in the north, Czarnożyły in the east, the municipality of the district town of Wieluń in the southeast, Skomlin in the south, Łubnice in the southwest and Czastary and Sokolniki in the west. The district town is five kilometers from the municipal boundary and twelve kilometers from Biała Druga.
The municipality is rich in small streams. The most important river is the 30 km long Pyszna, which flows to the Oleśnica, a left tributary of the Warta .
The community has an area of almost 75 km², 88 percent of which is used for agriculture. Forest only accounts for three percent of the area.
history
The rural community emerged in 1953 from the Gmina Naramice in the Łódź Voivodeship. The following year it was split into Gromadas and re-established in 1973. From 1975 to 1998 it was part of the Sieradz Voivodeship , which only existed in modern Poland at that time. The powiat was dissolved during this time. With the re-establishment of the Powiat Wieluński in 1999 she came to the newly designed Łódź Voivodeship. On January 1, 2018, the seat of the municipality was moved from Biała to Biała Druga.

Listed sights
The old wooden churches in the villages of the municipality are worth seeing. They were built between the 16th and 18th centuries. The following objects were entered in the national list of monuments:

- The wooden church of Maria Magdalena in Łyskornia, 1660, expanded in 1714, 1787, 1878 and 1921

- Wooden church (branch church) in Wiktorów, 16th century, expanded in 1760.
traffic
The state road DK74 runs through the municipality, which runs from Piotrków Trybunalski (Petrikau) via the district town of Wieluń in the east to the S8 expressway in the north-west. This runs through the extreme north of the municipality.
The Herby – Oleśnica railway runs through the municipality. The Biała station (in Biała copyc, on the border with Łyskornia) is not served by passengers. The nearest long-distance train station is Wieluń Dąbrowa .
The nearest international airport is Łódź .
