The Gmina Jabłonowo Pomorskie (until 1991 Gmina Jabłonowo ) is an urban and rural municipality in the Powiat Brodnicki of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name ( German Jablonowo, 1903-1945 Goßlershausen ) with about 3800 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality borders the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in the northwest and is located in the former West Prussia , about 25 kilometers east-southeast of Grudziądz (Graudenz) and 50 kilometers northeast of Toruń (Thorn) . The district capital Brodnica (Strasburg) is about 12 kilometers away.
history
The community has existed since 1973. From 1975 to 1998 it belonged to the Thorn Voivodeship . Your main town received in 1954 the status of an urban-type settlement and in 1962 the town charter .

The DW543 voivodeship road leads from the main town west to Radzyń Chełmiński and south-east to Brodnica.
In the station Jabłonowo Pomorskie meets the railway line Działdowo-Chojnice on the route Toruń-Olsztyn . Until the early 1990s, the Jabłonowo Pomorskie – Prabuty railway branched off here .
The Bydgoszcz International Airport is located about 80 kilometers southwest, the Frederic Chopin airport Warsaw 180 kilometers away.
