The Gmina Zdzieszowice is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Krapkowicki in the Opole Voivodeship . The municipality seat is the city of the same name ( German Deschowitz ) with about 11,700 inhabitants.

The municipality has an area of 57.85 km², of which 63% are areas for agriculture and 14% are forest areas. The municipality takes up 13% of the area of the district.

politics
The administration is headed by a mayor who is directly elected by the population every four years. The 2018 mayoral election led to the following result:
- Sybila Zimerman (independent) 83.4% of the vote
- Dariusz Stanuchowski (Dariusz Stanuchowski Election Committee) 16.6% of the vote
Zimerman was re-elected as mayor in the first ballot.
The election of the 15-member municipal council on the same day produced the following results:
- Election committee approval is future 58.3% of the vote, 11 seats
- Election Committee Dariusz Stanuchowski 17.8% of the vote, no seat (*)
- German minority election committee 12.2% of the votes, 2 seats
- Election committee of voters lives here 9.7% of the vote, 1 seat
- Election Committee Stime of the Young Generation 2.0% of the vote, no seat
- Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe (PSL) 0.0% of the votes, 1 seat (*)
(*) = The Dariusz Stanuchowski election committee received up to 46% of the votes in individual constituencies, but was unable to win any of the 15 single-person constituencies. The PSL only ran for constituency 5, in which, however, all other lists did not run, so that the PSL candidate was elected without an election.
population
In 2002 the community had 17,909 inhabitants. In addition to the Polish population, 1731 people (9.7%) gave German nationality (ethnicity) and 1063 people Silesian (5.9%) in the 2002 census.
