Goßmannsrode [ gɔsmansʀoːdə ] is a district of the municipality of Kirchheim in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in eastern Hesse .

Geographical location

The place is north of Kirchheim am Goßmannsröder Wasser , also called "Wölfelbach", a tributary of the auditorium . The district road 35 leads into the village , via which the village can be reached from the federal highway 454 . District road 36 connects Goßmannsrode and Reckerode .

history

The village is first mentioned in 1366 as Gosmarode . The place name developed through Goßmerode and Gosmansrode to today's Goßmannsrode.

On February 1, 1971, Goßmannsrode was incorporated into the municipality of Kirchheim as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
