The Gohrische Heide nature reserve is located in the area of ​​the town of Mühlberg / Elbe in the Elbe-Elster district in Brandenburg .

The area with the identification number 1523 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of July 29, 2003 . The approximately 233 hectare nature reserve extends east of the core town of Mühlberg / Elbe. The state road L 64 runs to the east, the L 67 runs to the west and flows the Elbe . The state border with Saxony runs along the eastern and southern edge of the area . To the south, in the Saxon area in the district of Meißen , the 2,847 hectare nature reserve Gohrischheide and Elbniederterrasse Zeithain join.
