Goose Lake is located at 41 ° 58'03 "north latitude and 90 ° 22'58" west longitude and extends over 0.82 km². The place is about 15 km west of the Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois . The Wisconsin border runs approximately 50 miles north. Goose Lake is one of two settlements and the only independent parish in Deep Creek Township .
On the western outskirts of Goose Lake is the lake of the same name and the Goose Lake Wildlige Management Area .
