Gordon is a city in Wilkinson County in the US state of Georgia with 2017 inhabitants (as of 2010).
geography
Gordon is directly adjacent to the city of Ivey to the northeast and is approximately 15 km northwest of Irwinton . The nearest major cities are Macon (25 km west) and Atlanta (140 km northwest).
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the population at that time in 2017 was distributed among 753 inhabited households, which gives an average of 2.68 people per household. There are a total of 900 households.
69.7% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring) with an average size of 3.26 persons. There were children under the age of 18 in 37.8% of all households and persons aged 65 or over in 31.9% of all households.
29.7% of the population were younger than 20 years, 21.8% were 20 to 39 years old, 27.5% were 40 to 59 years old, and 20.8% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 39 years. 46.3% of the population were male and 53.7% were female.
