Gottschalk (Eichstätt)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gottschalk († November 12 ; 882 ?) Was Bishop of Eichstätt from 880 (?) To 882 (?).

Gottschalk probably came from a noble Bavarian family . He himself is not documented in any documents, only the Pontifical Gundekarianum - there he is called Gotescalc - and the Anonymus von Herrieden attest to him and his two and a half to three years as Bishop of Eichstätt. November 12th is recorded as the date of death, but the year of death is unknown.
