The Ben Arous Governorate ( Arabic ولاية بن عروس, DMG wilāyat Bin ʿArūs ) is one of the 24 governorates of Tunisia .
It is located in the north of the country and covers an area of 761 km² (0.7% of the state territory). The population is 588,700. The capital is the eponymous Ben Arous . The governorate was established on December 3, 1983.
