As-Sadis min Uktubar ( Arabic محافظة السادس من أكتوبر Muhāfazat as-Sādis min Uktūbar , DMG Muḥāfaẓat as-Sādis min Uktūbar , Egyptian-Arabic : es-Sādis min Oktōbar ) was a governorate in Egypt and was located in the west of the governorate al-Jiza in the Western Desert. The governorate existed since April 18, 2008 on the basis of Presidential Decree 114/2008.

The governorate included the city ​​of October 6 (in memory of the Yom Kippur War ), the Bahariyya Basin and the Wadi an-Natrun .

As part of the appointment of numerous new governors, the governorate was repealed on April 14, 2011 by the Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf and the area was added to the al-Jiza governorate .
