The Grań Żółtej Turni , also called Północna grań Skrajnego Granatu , is a mountain range in the Polish High Tatras in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship with a maximum altitude of 2174 m npm in the Zadnia Pańszczycka Czuba . The border between the municipalities of Poronin (district Murzasichle ) in the north and Zakopane in the south runs over the ridge of the massif .
Location and surroundings
Below the massif lie the Dolina Czarna Gąsienicowa and Dolina Pańszczyca valleys . The massif borders on the Pańszczycka Przełączka Wyżnia mountain pass on the Skrajny Granat in the Granaty massif in the southeast. In the west, the massif falls into the Dolina Gąsienicowa valley .

etymology
The name Grań Żółtej Turni can be translated as the ridge of the yellow tower . It comes from the mountain Żółta Turnia (German also: Gelber Berg). The alternative name Północna grań Skrajnego Granatu can be translated as the north ridge of the Outer Garnet Point and comes from the mountain Skrajny Granat (German: Nördliche Granatenspitze).
Flora and fauna
The tree line is at an altitude of 1600 meters. The Grań Żółtej Turni is a refuge for bears, chamois, marmots and birds of prey, especially golden eagles.
tourism
There is no hiking trail over the Grań Żółtej Turni ridge . However, it is popular with climbers. The red marked high trail Orla Perć runs over the Skrajny Granat . Yellow and green marked hiking trails from the Dolina Czarna Gąsienicowa valley also lead to it .
