Gregor Lorger (born September 7, 1981 in Celje ) is a Slovenian handball player . His body length is 2.05 m.

Lorger, who plays for the German club ASV Hamm-Westfalen and plays for the Slovenian national team, is a handball goalkeeper .

Gregor Lorger began playing handball with the series champion RK Celje in his hometown. There he made his debut in the first team in the 2000/2001 season and won the Slovenian Championship in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, the Slovenian Cup in 2001, 2004 and 2006 and, as the highlight in 2004, the EHF Champions League . In 2006 Lorger decided to jump abroad and joined the Spanish club BM Valladolid . With the Castilians he reached the semi-finals of the EHF Champions League in 2007, but failed there at the German SG Flensburg-Handewitt . In 2009 Lorger won the European Cup Winners' Cup with Valladolid . He then moved to Naturhouse La Rioja . In the summer of 2011 Lorger signed a one-year contract with the German second division TV Bittenfeld , which was not extended. After a stint in Qatar with the newly promoted Quiyada, he moved to the Hungarian club ETO-SZESE Győr FKC. In the summer of 2014 Lorger signed a contract with the Spanish first division club Helvetia Anaitasuna . For the 2017/18 season he joined the German second division ASV Hamm-Westfalen .

Gregor Lorger has so far played seven international matches for the Slovenian national team , but has never been in the squad for a major tournament.
