Guido Zöllick

Guido Zöllick (born May 2, 1970 in Rostock ) is a German hospitality manager, since 2007 hotel director of the Hotel Neptun in Warnemünde and since 2016 president of the German hotel and restaurant association (DEHOGA).

Life

Zöllick is the son of the politician Wolfgang Zöllick . As a teenager he played soccer at BSG Schiffahrt / Hafen Rostock and BSG Motor Neptunwerft Rostock , then in the junior squad of FC Hansa Rostock , but was not included in the Hansa travel squad due to ties to the West .

After graduating from the 59th secondary school in Rostock, he trained as a waiter and restaurant specialist at the Hotel Neptun in Warnemünde from 1986 to 1988 and practiced this profession until 1990. After the fall of the Wall, he worked for a year as Commis de Rang in the Bremen Marriott Hotel in 1990/91 . After opening the Scandic Crown Hotel in Lübeck , he was Demi-Chef de Rang there from 1991 to 1993, then Chef de Rang and banquet assistant, where he gained further experience in restaurants, bars and banquets. From 1993 to 1995 he was again assistant manager at the Best Western Hanse Hotel in Warnemünde . After completing the nine-month community service in 1995, he became deputy director and gastronomic director of the Best Western Europa Hotel in Greifswald . From 1996 to 1998 he was Banquet, Food & Beverage Manager at the newly opened Strand Hotel Hübner in Warnemünde. In 1998/99 he was the banquet and catering manager at the Park Hotel Bremen .

In 1999 he became director of the Hotel Warnemünder Hof. After eight years of hotel management, he became general manager and managing director of the Hotel Neptun in Warnemünde in 2007, where his career began in 1986. At the turn of the year 2017/18 he expanded the hotel offer to include the wine restaurant "Weineck" on the Warnemünder beach promenade.

Zöllick has been President of DEHOGA Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since 2005, and since 2012 also Deputy President of DEHOGA Federal Association. In 2016 he was elected federal chairman of DEHOGA.

Zöllick is Vice President and Treasurer of the Presidium of the Federal Association of the German Tourism Industry and Vice President of the Board of Directors of the German National Tourist Board . He is also Vice President of the Association of Business Associations for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, a member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Health Management Board of Trustees, member of the Advisory Board of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Marketing " MV tut gut " and the Rostock Society for Tourism & Marketing, and a member of the European Hotel Managers Association (EMHA).

He lives in a long-term partnership and is the father of two children.
