Life
Gurf Morlix moved from New York to Texas in 1975, where he first played with Blaze Foley in both Austin and Houston . In 1981 he moved on to Los Angeles , where he met the young Lucinda Williams , who had also come from Texas. Morlix was also initially involved as a producer for Williams' international breakthrough Car Wheels on a Gravel Road ; the release of the album dragged on - including several new recordings - and Morlix left the difficult musician in frustration. In 1990 Morlix accompanied Warren Zevon on a tour. The following year he moved back to Austin.

He also appears again and again as a musician on the CDs; he plays u. a. Guitar , bass , mandolin , mandocello , dobro , pedal steel , Weissenborn , banjo , harmonica and drums .
