Guro Strøm Solli (born July 29, 1983 in Bodø ) is a former Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Solli, who started for the Drevja IL , ran her first race in the Continental Cup in Gaasbu in December 2002 and finished 44th in the sprint. She had her debut in the World Cup in February 2004 in Stockholm , which she finished in 30th place in the sprint. In the 2004/05 season she achieved three top ten placements, 35th place in the overall World Cup and 15th place in the Sprint World Cup. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf , she was tenth in the sprint. At the beginning of the 2005/06 season, she won second place in Düsseldorf together with Ella Gjømle . In the further course of the season she came with three top ten placements in the individual World Cup, including third place in the sprint in Oberstdorf, 33rd place in the overall World Cup and 15th place in the sprint world cup. At the U23 World Championships in 2006 in Kranj , she won the gold medal in the sprint. The following season she finished in the top ten with three results, including third place in the sprint in Otepää , 32nd place in the overall World Cup and 15th place in the Sprint World Cup. In the Scandinavian Cup she was with two placements in the top ten ninth in the overall standings. She completed her last cross-country skiing world cup race in March 2010 in Oslo , which she finished in 54th place in the sprint. In summer 2010 she started in the Rollerski World Cup . She got five wins and won the overall ranking. In the following year, too, won the overall ranking with four wins in the Rollerski World Cup. At the 2011 Rollerski World Championships in Kristiansund and Aure , she won gold in the relay and in the sprint.
