Gusttavo Lima (born September 3, 1989 in Presidente Olegário , Minas Gerais ; actually Nivaldo Batista Lima ) is a Brazilian sertanejo musician.

biography

Lima was born on September 3, 1989 in Minas Gerais and grew up in Goiás . At the age of nine he had his first solo appearance in the school choir. Twelve years later he got his first recording deal and also released his debut album Inventor Dos Amores . The album and the title song were notable successes in Brazil in 2010 and he consolidated his success with the songs Cor De Ouro and Balada (Tchê tcherere tchê tchê) . The following year the live DVD Gusttavo Lima E Você followed .

After the success of Michel Teló's song Ai Se Eu Te Pego! in Europe, it was decided to market it abroad. In early 2012, the Brazilian made several appearances in the United States. In Europe, Balada appeared in the spring. As with Telós Hit, a dance choreography was designed for Lima's song and the internationally known soccer player Neymar , who paved the way for Teló to Europe, performed together with Lima. In the Netherlands and Belgium Balada was able to place first in the charts. At the end of April 2012 the song reached number 1 in the Belgian and in May in the Dutch charts. Around the same time, Lima had its first number one hit in the Brazilian radio charts (Hot 100 Brasil) with 60 Segundos .

At the beginning of May 2012, Presidente Olegário's birthplace decided to erect a life-size statue in the community of 18,500 inhabitants.
