Buchloe High School

The Buchloe grammar school is a state secondary educational institution in Buchloe in the Swabian district of Ostallgäu with a scientific and technological branch and a linguistic branch . Currently about 600 students in 8 grades attend the school.

history

On June 17, 2009 it was confirmed that the city of Buchloe will get a state high school. In the 2011/2012 school years, the pioneer classes were accommodated in the rooms of the Comenius elementary school and administered under the auspices of the Jakob-Brucker-Gymnasium Kaufbeuren.

With the inauguration of the new school by the then Prime Minister Horst Seehofer on September 27, 2013, pioneer classes 5 and 6 moved into the new building.

Building / plant

The one-story building, which forms an "H" from the air, is built in a modern style. Inside the house, most of the walls are made of exposed concrete , outside it is almost completely clad with wood. The building includes a double gymnasium and has a soccer field in the south, a 100-meter track , jump pits, Equipment for shot put and a hard court for handball , high jump and basketball . A striking, elongated staircase connects the building with the sports facilities.

Since the spring of 2018, the school has had its own apiary, the building of which is adapted to the school's architectural style. The school currently manages eight bee colonies.

Adjacent to the grammar school there is an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor swimming pool , as well as the state secondary school in Buchloe and the secondary school in Buchloe. The school can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot from the train station.

There are partnerships with the Collège Pierre Dubois in Laval, the Collège de Péron and the Lycée Joachim du Bellay in Angers .
