The nature reserve consists of areas in the corridors “Saame”, “Weinberg”, “Linsenacker”, “Schmidtrain”, “Hell” and “Im Bundes” in the Kressenbach district. The aim of the nature reserve is "to preserve the semi -arid lawns of the distinctive shell limestone slope as remains of the once widespread vegetation unit of the gentian schillergrass sheep-herding lawn and to restore it by removing woody areas."
