Huseyin Bektas

Hüseyin Bektaş (born January 1, 1961 in Kaynarpınar , Turkey , Bingöl Province ) is a doctor , surgeon , author , professor at the Hannover Medical School (MHH) and chief physician at the clinic for general, visceral and oncological surgery at the Bremen Clinic -Center. The board of directors of the SAZ Children's Fund is committed, among other things, to the Kurdish and the Kurdish-Yazidi children in northern Iraq, who are threatened by genocide .

Life

“Born in Northern Kurdistan”, Hüseyin Bektaş attended a school in Turkey ( Kaynarpınar ) and then immigrated to the Federal Republic of Germany .

In Hanover , Bektaş studied medicine at the MHH, where he wrote his dissertation under Heinz Hundeshagen in 1992 on "[...] the importance of magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnosis of tethered cord syndrome in children".

After an interlude as an assistant and senior physician at the Ruhr University Bochum and in the Knappschaftskrankenhaus Bochum-Langendreer under Jürgen Klempnauer , Bektaş completed his habilitation in 2002 at the MHH with his writing Tolerance induction for organ transplants through donor-specific blood transfusion . When Lower Saxony's Prime Minister Stephan Weil promised the Association of Kurdish Doctors in Germany a donation of 200,000 euros in mid-August 2014 after the terror and the threatened genocide of religious minorities in northern Iraq by IS groups , Hüseyin Bektaş said in the Lower Saxony State Chancellery on the occasion of his upcoming humanitarian Aid trip to Northern Iraq as one of twenty European doctors, he wanted to "supply the people there with fluids, with antibiotics , with medicines ".
