Kaynarpınar ( Turkish for boiling spring ), (Kurd. Liçik ) is a village in the Karlıova district of the Turkish province of Bingöl . Kaynarpınar is located in Eastern Anatolia at 1,750 m above sea level, about 35 km northwest of Karlıova. The village was formerly inhabited by Armenians . Kurds live here today .
The original name of the village is Liçik. This name is of Armenian origin. In 1985, 1,007 people lived in Kaynarpınar. Between 1990 and 2000, about two thirds of the population left Kaynarpınar. In 2009 the village had 171 inhabitants. There is a Jandarma barracks near the village .
