Haardorf is a district of the city of Osterfeld in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

Haardorf is located southwest of the town of Osterfeld and east of Goldschau in an area that is used intensively for agriculture on Landesstrasse 190.

history

The village was first mentioned in 1350 as Hordorf .

A statistical survey from 1663, commissioned by Duke August von Sachsen-Weißenfels, showed a population of 56 people for Haardorf, 1 who lived on 12 farms and a garden plot. By the 18th century the number of properties rose to 20. In 1852 the population was 148 people and should rise to 440 by 1905, before a decline to 351 people by 1971.

During the German Revolution , Theodor Held, at that time a private tutor on the local manor, was committed to political reforms. He was arrested in November 1848 and to six years imprisonment convicted.

Between 1849 and 1867, pit 111 , located southeast of Haardorf, was used to extract black coal . For local processing, a tar mill went into operation in 1864 .

The separation was carried out on site from 1857 to 1865 .

From July 10, 1945 to April 1, 1946, Haardorf was initially part of the Goldschau community and on July 1 was affiliated to Waldau . The newly created community had the community no. 082032 and belonged to the Zeitz district in the Halle district .

On January 1, 2010, the municipality of Waldau was incorporated into the municipality of Osterfeld as part of the municipal reform.

1 The survey names a total of 57 residents, but knows that a landowner lives in Osterfeld.

Education and training

The school responsible for Haardorf was initially in Lissen , before its own school building was built in 1832 and put into use a year later. The first teacher was Karl Sylvester Becker, who had already worked as a tutor on site. In 1869 a new school house was built. The regional reform of 1950 also led to the merger of the schools in Haardorf and Waldau, so that only the lower grades were taught in Haardorf. In 1969 the school site was completely closed and the building has served as a residential building ever since.

The kindergarten Hair village has existed since September 29, 1951. In 1993, the selfsame separately existing since 1964 were creche and kindergarten integrated Waldau.

A sports field was built in 1957 on the site of the former manor garden.

tourism

The Zeitz – Camburg railway , which was closed in 2000 , ran north of Haardorf . An asphalt bike path is being set up on the railway line, and the section between Zeitz and Schkölen was completed in 2015 . In the village there is a hair Eselhof from where pilgrims tours with donkeys can be taken into the countryside.

church

Haardorf probably had its own pastor until the early 16th century, but was assigned to the parish of Lissen as a result of the Reformation in 1541. The local church was almost completely rebuilt due to disrepair and was used from 1600. The parish is described in sources from the 16th and 18th centuries as very wealthy.

In 1849 the inauguration of the neo-Romanesque church that still exists today took place at a different location ; the old church was demolished in 1851.
