Hagen is a village in the city ​​of Stade . It is located in the Stade district in Lower Saxony in the middle of the Elbe-Weser triangle between the two cities of Hamburg and Bremen .

history

Hagen was first mentioned in a document in 1130 . From the Middle Ages to the middle of the 20th century, the place was heavily influenced by agriculture . A large part of its residents found a home and employment on the ten to twelve farms in the village.

As part of the Lower Saxony regional reform at the beginning of the 1970s, the then independent municipality of Hagen conducted negotiations with both the joint municipality of Fredenbeck and the city of Stade about integration. The incorporation contract with Stade, which came into force on July 1, 1972 , finally made Hagen a town of Stades.
