Hagen is a village in the city of Stade . It is located in the Stade district in Lower Saxony in the middle of the Elbe-Weser triangle between the two cities of Hamburg and Bremen .

The Steinbeck brook flows through and past Hagen in the south and backs up to the Hagen mill pond.
Neighboring communities
The town of Hagen borders the municipality of Deinste in the west and south , in the north on the districts of Groß Thun, Klein Thun, Barge and Riensförde and in the east on the municipality of Agathenburg .
history
Hagen was first mentioned in a document in 1130 . From the Middle Ages to the middle of the 20th century, the place was heavily influenced by agriculture . A large part of its residents found a home and employment on the ten to twelve farms in the village.
As part of the Lower Saxony regional reform at the beginning of the 1970s, the then independent municipality of Hagen conducted negotiations with both the joint municipality of Fredenbeck and the city of Stade about integration. The incorporation contract with Stade, which came into force on July 1, 1972 , finally made Hagen a town of Stades.
