Handball district league ↓

In the handball GDR league of women , the BSG Einheit / Sirokko Neubrandenburg won the North relay and the BSG Halloren Halle the South relay in the 1985/86 season. Both succeeded unbeaten in the immediate promotion to the House of Lords.

North season

The company sports association (BSG) Einheit / Sirokko Neubrandenburg secured the relay victory without losing points and immediately rose to the handball league of the GDR . The game community Lok / Motor Süd-Ost Magdeburg and BSG Schiffselektronik Rostock competed as promoters from the handball GDR district league . Both communities managed to stay in the league, whereby Rostock only succeeded in relegation against BSG Progress Cottbus from the southern season. In the district league, BSG Chemie PCK Schwedt rose in the 1980/81 season while still playing in the major league and BSG Motor Hennigsdorf .

Season south

The season win was secured by the undefeated relegated team from the handball GDR league, the BSG Halloren Halle . This means that Halle is returning to the House of Lords after just one year. The Betriebsportgemeinschaft (BSG) progress Cottbus managed to jump to the tenth place in the table on the last weekend of the matchday, which entitles them to relegation. In this, however, they were subject to BSG Schiffselektronik Rostock from the northern relay and, like the other two promoted players from the handball GDR district league Lommatzsch and Gotha, went back to the third division after just one year.
